Professional and Personal Background
Christopher Dominic Mano (born April 9, 1998) is an educator, civic leader, and community advocate whose work focuses on education reform, fiscal transparency, and effective public administration.
Based in Brookhaven, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, he has worked to strengthen public institutions through education, community engagement, research, and public service. His professional work has focused on education policy, public administration, fiscal transparency, and community engagement throughout Pennsylvania.
Mr. Mano was born and raised in the Whitman section of Philadelphia. Growing up in a working-class household, he developed an appreciation for education, service, resilience, and the importance of strong public institutions that support families and communities. His Catholic faith has also helped shape his commitment to community involvement and public service.
His family history includes generations of service in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II and the Vietnam War, as well as his paternal grandfather’s immigration from Calabria, Italy, in 1965. These experiences of his family have shaped his commitment to opportunity, service, inclusion, and civic participation, while reinforcing his appreciation for the contributions of immigrant families and those who serve their communities.
As the first person in his immediate family to graduate from college, Mr. Mano understands the transformative power of education and the opportunities that strong educational institutions can provide. His own educational journey has reinforced his commitment to expanding access and creating opportunities for future generations.
Mr. Mano and his fiancée, Ashley Lewis, reside in Brookhaven, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, where they recently purchased their first home. Ashley’s family has Pennsylvania roots spanning multiple generations.
Outside of his professional and civic work, Mr. Mano remains engaged in writing, history, genealogy, and community initiatives focused on strengthening public institutions and expanding opportunities for residents. He is an avid hiker who enjoys exploring Pennsylvania’s state parks and is the author of several self-published works written under the pen name Morgan Evans Maeves.

Education, Research, and Professional Experience
Mr. Mano began his career in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic and has served in public, private, and charter educational settings. Throughout his career, he has taught hundreds of students from diverse backgrounds, including English Language Learners (ELLs), students impacted by adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), students receiving Title I services, and adult learners.
His experience includes classroom teaching, reading and mathematics intervention, and supporting students with varying academic and social-emotional needs across Philadelphia and Delaware Counties.
Mr. Mano currently serves as a Core Reading Instructor in the U.S. Job Corps program, where he supports trainees in building foundational literacy skills and preparing for future career opportunities.
Through his professional experience, he developed an interest in how administrative systems, budgeting practices, and oversight structures affect educational outcomes. This led to continued work and research in education reform, workforce development, and government accountability.

Mr. Mano engages in professional development activities each year.
In 2026, he completed the State Oversight Academy Certificate through the Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy. The program provided professional development training in government oversight and accountability, including legislative oversight, investigations, fact-finding, hearings, program and contract monitoring, and the role of auditing in effective government oversight.
Mr. Mano was admitted to The Pennsylvania State University in 2026 to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Public Financial Management and a Master of Public Administration (MPA).

Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit Leadership
From 2022 to 2025, Mano served as a co-founder of Motivational Minds Inc., a small volunteer-led nonprofit initiative focused on mental-health education, civic engagement, and community dialogue.
He provided pro bono interim executive leadership from May through August 2023 and later served as Acting Executive Director from July through September 2024. His responsibilities included organizational planning, volunteer coordination, programming, communications, budget development, expense tracking, governance materials, and administrative operations.
He helped develop the organization’s bylaws, mission and vision statements, operating frameworks, and short- and long-term planning documents. He also coordinated virtual discussion programming and supported the organization’s formal wind-down after completion of its planned activities.
Since 2025, Mr. Mano has served as Founder and Owner of EdVision Consulting Services LLC, a small education and policy design company focused on strengthening instructional systems, leadership capacity, and organizational effectiveness through curriculum development, strategic frameworks, and applied learning programs.
Through EdVision, he designed the Elevare Scholars Fellowship, a pilot curriculum focused on civic policy and executive leadership.
